washing machine

I hate the washing machine in my building.

I live in a victorian house that has been split into 5 apartments. On the ground floor is a laundry room containing one coin-op washer and one coin-op dryer. That's nice in itself, means I don't have to go to the laundromat. You would think, anyway. The problem is that they don't work correctly. The dryer seems to be okay for the most part, though my last load of clothes ran for about 2 hours and then only stopped running because I turned the damn thing off (okay, that's not something to complain about; it did get the clothes dry). The washer, on the other hand, is a different story. It randomly decides to take money and then not work. And then I don't know what will get it to work. So I wasted about $3 in quarters on my second load tonight trying to get the damn washer to function (maybe I was supposed to put the money in before closing the lid?) and I still didn't get my clothes clean.

So I have to go to a laundromat tomorrow night to get my clothes clean anyway.
