And the Drums . . .
And the drums sounded off in the Distance And on the ten thousandth year she saw it sail past on the third night of orbit near the Earth And the drums sounded off in the Distance And on the four hundred and seventy-first day she saw their seventeenth moon set on the horizon in the mountains behind the trees And the Drums sounded off in the Distance And on that night in the ten thousandth year near their five hundredth day they were alone for a change Sweet change And the drums sounded off in the Distance And the comet continued And the moon disappeared And their love outlasted both And the drums sounded off in the Distance
