Tear
A tear drips
      and she sighs

      the day they met

      at night

      not knowing
      what to think of him
She remembers
      being afraid
      to talk to him
She remembers
      she wasn't herself
      that night

She thinks
      of the times together
      before either spoke
      the truth known by both
She thinks
      of his poetry
      and how she wished
      it was about her
She thinks
      of how he opened his heart
      and told her the story
      of his pain

She listens
      to his music
      to think of him
She listens
      to "their" song
      and starts crying again
She listens
      and feels pain
      instead of joy
      because she cannot be near to him

She remembers
      the moment they fell in love
She remembers
      knowing of her love for him
      and feeling his love for her
      coming together
      at the same time
She remembers
      he played "their" song,
      the song that was playing
      when they felt the Magic,
      in order to confess his love
She remembers
      knowing what song he was about to play
      and why
      and how he started to say how he felt
      and how she broke in with "I love you too."

She thinks
      of eternity
She thinks
      of the crescent moon
She thinks
      of how they both knew
      all along
      of their destiny together
She thinks
      of the creek
She thinks
      of his eyes
She thinks
      of sitting together
      waiting for their ride
      watching the moon

She thinks
      of his touch
She thinks
      of his embrace
She thinks
      of him

She touches his picture
      and feels
      only the plastic
      of the cover
